How to use Prelude

Short answers to the questions parents ask most: what you do each day, what you send us, how to put the app on your phone, and what to do if something gets stuck.

What you do each day

One sitting of 15–30 minutes. You hold the phone and read; your child is at the instrument.

  1. Open today's day and read it yourself first

    Read the whole day before you call your child over. It takes two minutes, and it means you are not reading instructions aloud while they wait.

  2. Print the sheet, if the day has one

    Some days include a sheet to print: the weekly schedule, a reminder, a list of obstacles. Print it beforehand so your child works with paper and an instrument instead of a screen.

  3. Do the task together

    Every day has two parts: setting something up at home (a time, a place, a habit) and actually playing. Do both, even when the playing lasts only a few minutes.

  4. Send the proof

    Each day ends with one thing to send us — usually a photo. A day only counts as done once the proof arrives.

What you send, day by day

Seven days, seven things. Most are a photo you take on the spot.

  1. Day 1A photo of your weekly schedule, put up where everyone can see it.
  2. Day 2A photo of your music corner.
  3. Day 3The ritual you chose, written down and ticked off.
  4. Day 4A photo of the reminder you chose.
  5. Day 5The obstacle you ran into, what you did about it, and a sentence on how it went.
  6. Day 6Your draft announcement for the performance, and what your listener answered.
  7. Day 7The closing questionnaire, filled in.

How to send a proof

At the bottom of each day there are three buttons. They open a message with the subject and an outline already written. You add the photo and your name, then send.

WhatsApp

The quickest. Opens a chat with +386 40 728 505 and the text ready to go.

Email

Opens your mail app with a message addressed to glasbenahisa@conce.si.

Gmail in the browser

If you do not read mail in an app, this button opens Gmail with the same prepared message.

Points, and why sending in the evening is worth it

Each day is worth as many points as its number: day 3 is worth 3. Finish days without skipping any and you get a streak bonus on top. Send before 20:00 Ljubljana time and you get one more point.

For example: Day 3, sent before 20:00, nothing skipped: 3 points for the day + 6 for the streak + 1 for the time = 10 points. Finish five days and you get 10 extra points; finish all seven and you get 20.

If a button opens nothing — some phones block it — just send the photo yourself to the same WhatsApp number or email address. It counts exactly the same.

Install Prelude on your phone

Prelude can sit on your phone like a normal app: its own icon, no browser bar, and the pages you have already opened will still open without a signal. Installing is free and takes a few seconds.

If there is no button, your browser does not support one. Instructions per device:

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open generalka.conce.si in Chrome.
  2. Tap ⋮ in the top right corner.
  3. Choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.
  4. Confirm. The icon appears with your other apps.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

  1. Open generalka.conce.si in Safari. Installing from Chrome on iPhone is not possible.
  2. Tap the share button (a square with an arrow) at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Scroll down and choose “Add to Home Screen”.
  4. Tap “Add” in the top right.

Computer (Chrome or Edge)

  1. Open generalka.conce.si.
  2. Click the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar.
  3. Confirm “Install”.

What works without a connection

The installed app opens without internet and shows the pages you have already visited. Loading a new day, sending a proof and signing in all need a connection.
